Congrats to the Vikings.

Couldn't take no more so i headed home. PV by 3 or 4 td's early in the fourth.

Three words Dawgs. Blocking, tackling, Lawson. You never tackled him all night long. And the offensive effort. Geez.

Where did your game go tonight?

Congrats Vikes you earned respect. You didn't Dawgs as simple as that.

Re: Congrats to the Vikings.

I most definitely agree... I just got home because I myself couldn't take anymore..

Appalachia's Defense practically allowed PV's running game to shine, shine, and shine some more. On the radio they said Lawson had 195 yards for the night (at the time), which is just crazy.

Appalachia's Offense failed in that they couldn't get anywhere in terms of running (they'd get stopped up about every time), and most - if not all - of the pass plays ended up being lobbed passes that were nearly picked off every time. I can't even count the number of times PV came THIS CLOSE to having an interception .. there were FAR too many underthrown passes that nearly resulted in turnovers, and there should have been WAYYYYY more receptions. I'm not blaming one specific player - not any of the running backs or even the quarterback himself, but the entire team just looked really dull tonight.

If this is what we see from them in the playoffs, Burton is going to absolutely run wild.
Officially retired

I sure hope we took the day off. Not to take anything from PV, plenty there , just ...I'm used to seeing more from Appy.

Me to, I left early. I couldnt stand anymore.

You know where games are won and lost? The Line of Scrimmage...... Appy was dominated all night long, plain and simple.

good luck to both teams in the playoffs

Lawson is pretty tough, and honestly him in the backfield is hard to stop. Trust us, we know *lol*
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

Re: Congrats to the Vikings.

I saw the Bulldogs play earlier in the season and their line performed much better in that game than tonight. The Vikings gave Appy some smash mouth football. Not a lot to analyze. PV's coaches have made a lot of good adjustments as this season has moved along. Lawson did not start the season as tailback but has performed very well - he reads his blocks! The Pinkstons move to LBs on defense has made a difference also. They are both good young players.

PV could win the region but I think all four teams in D2 have a good chance to be champions and that will be a great regional. In D1, Norton will roll. I hope they bring a state title back to the LPD.

Re: Congrats to the Vikings.

Lawson is a heck of a football player. Probably the best receiver in the district, a darn good runner, a decent QB, a heck of a punt returner and not a bad DB. Got to be the most versatile player in the district if not the best.

Absolutely no disrespect intended towards Appy or Roger Austin who I knew years ago (he's done a great good IMO), but the game went pretty much exactly as I expected. I was really shocked at the number of people on this board prior to the game picking Appy to win. I thought the match-ups just favored PV in nearly every case.

Good luck to both teams in the playoffs.

Very classy post. Great regular season Bulldawgs.
Deja Moo: The feeling that you've heard this bull before.
